An event j ust started within the past hour. Female Pikachu, Wobbuffet, and the female Nidoran line have increased spawn until tomorrow, but only the N idoran line have a chance of being shiny. S hiny ones are purple instead of blue. You can't tell if it's shiny until you try to catch it.

Also in my 30's. Went out in a snow storm once, and left my kids at home in bed alone early on in the game when something neat poppe d up on the nearby (back when there were footsteps still)

Wow! I saw a regular Pikachu in the wild and some wobbuffet. Was confused. I’ll see what I can dig up from work.

Thankfully working in the city means I get some aight spawns. I once caught a Dragonite from my desk

I caught a male Wobbuffet the other day, hadn’t seen a female yet.

I’m not far from a downtown area that has lots of historical sites, so I can walk around for an hour or so and get a lot done. Same spot from 3 angles:

Nice. I attempted to get a Totodile yesterday by walking down a rocky path next to some railroad tracks (I’m not sure if it was legal but there weren’t any signs saying it wasn’t) but when I got to the spot there was a sketchy-looking dude sitting next to it so I had to let that one go. I was hatching some eggs anyway, so not the end of the world, but since I started playing again the number of water Pokémon (aside from Slowpoke/Slowbro) I’ve seen in the wild, even near water, has been unusually low. Though I did get a Squirtle today.

There are some seriously hardcore players out there. I started playing again last week when I heard you’ll be able to transfer gen 1 Pokémon (my phone automatically adds the accent on the E) from Go to the upcoming Switch game.

I didn’t even know there was an event today. PoGo refused to load anything for 99% of today.

You want to know what really irks me about PoGo? Shinies are trickle-released. At least make all of the Gen1 Pokemon have shiny variants already, stop throttling them for “extra content”

No joke, I live 15 minutes from Lake Michigan, visit there all the time, and RARELY see Magikarp. You’d think they’d spawn a lot near that big body of water....

I think the Magikarp spawn rate is artificially lowered everywhere because of how powerful Gyarados is.
